I've been doing more research on the turbo surging issue with my '05 ISM and it sounds like it potentially may need the turbo or actuator replaced and that these variable geometry turbos are poor design and dont last very long normally. My question, can a fixed geometry standard type turbo be put on it easily with no problems? Or is there alot that would have to be done in order to do it?

It is an integrated system. All the subordinates talk to the master. When the master does not like what is coming from any them the whole group is punished. The mass can be just cut back on rations, brought to a total standstill or die.
To be direct that would require reprogramming the ECM so it does not see bad reports and or interpret them as bad. That is part of what is called a delete which we are not allowed to talk about here.
No you cannot just swap out the turbo and have a happy life.

    Goodysnap Thanks this.
