05 VOLVO truck VED D12 engine lacks power and makes 4mpg.. what is wrong?

NO IT DOES NOT DROP TO 0 ON THE DASH BOARD, AND HAVE MY EGR's by passed 2 years ago it is not them

 

so sad all these similar symptoms and so many tries to fix it

makes me want to hug my D12

 

did the bozo the clown suit come with the truck when you bought it,i know they came from the factory with them when they were new.maybe you can track one down on e bay the suit when worn will get you the mileage your looking for,good luck

 

Let's start from a different angle do u have any kind of codes popping up in the dash besides the egr codes u might have since u bypassed them

 

Before they replace injector #4 there was a code for injector 4, now besides the codes for the egr's there is nothing else

 

Have they checked if the fuel pressure is Ok or if it's low did t He y hook it up to vcads

 

The majority of the Problems are the wiring harness for the fuel injector itself not the fuel injector.

As for the bad fuel milage, do the easy stuff first, check the front mount air intercooler for leaks, got to hold 30 pounds of pressure, only 3 pound drop in 30 seconds, any more then that inter cooler is bad,

any leaks with the Tubes or the intercooler, can cause up to 2 mpg lost in fuel economy

 

What was your mpg b4 you replace the inter cooler and how much you gain afterwards also what is your speed everage and weight? Thanks for your sharing
