I have a 2007 Peterbilt 385 Day Cab (Pre-DPF, built late 06) i have an odd issue with my intermittent wipers. The fastest, and 2nd fastest (the two steady on stages) always work. My intermittent modes work off and on. And if they are working and I leave it selected on an intermittent mode, it works for a bit but then like sort of forgets and just stops. Then only way to get my wipers working again is go to one of the steady on modes. Also I think some of the intermittent modes like forget there intervals. They'll take a long time then swipe then swipe immediately then just stop working. My washer fluid only works when my intermittent modes are working, and to get my intermittent modes working again when they stop, I have to go to the super fast steady on and leave it on for a few seconds, then go down one notch to fast steady on and leave it for a little. Then turn them completely off, then I can choose an intermittent speed (which will only successfully work for 5mins or so forcing me back to a steady on option. Very weird issue.
anyone have any ideas? Haven't looked at a fuse yet. I'm gonna install a new steering wheel soon so if it's the lever/switch itself I wanna get the parts to do when I remove steering wheel and cover pieces. Would fuse be down my clutch pedal behind that panel?
any help is appreciated. Very annoying process when just going through intermittent rain and have to leave the wipers on steady..

If it was a fuse your Wipers and Switch wouldn't work at all, most likely it's your Wiper Switch/ Stalk is worn out or has a short in it.

Wiper switch... I replaced mine last week for the same problem..

So my wipers are on the end of my turn signal lever. What exactly is the part I buy and how do I replace it?
got a part number? And do I need the steering wheel off -
Sorry mate but I replaced that switch on 98' 379 for the same exact problem . The switch was on the dash. Your truck is newer so I can't really help you here...

I had the same issue, I found it was the connector block in the wiper wire harness just below the fan solinoid. I had a couple of wires rotted.

Okay, well summer came around and lasted a long time so I never needed to replace this, with the rain back, I went ahead and bought and installed the new wiper/turn signal stalk last Friday. Anyways, wipers seemed to work perfect after installation...then the truck sat all weekend, and today the issue is back...I checked out the connector block and wires all around the wiper motor and fan solenoid, everything looks fine, nothing looks rotted or worn...I didn't unplug the connector, are you saying you replaced both ends of the connector?
