I've been lurking awhile, reading old threads and can't find an answer. 06 379 with a c15 twin turbo. Won't crank without a shot of ether, or roll it off. runs fine after you get it going. Builds 40 pounds of boost bobtail wide open. I've exhausted every thing I can think of short of going to cat or Peterbilt. So far I've ruled out the following
Crank sensor
Cam sensor
Starter
Batteries
Fuel filters
Both fuel filter bases
Getting power to plug 70 on ecm connector from key input
Checked ecm grounds
Constant power from battery to ecm checks out (was missing a pin that was supposed to be 12v +. It's never had it. I think it was 57 or 67.
New transfer pump
New check valve in secondary filter base
New hand primer/gasket.
Today, I rigged a gauge into the secondary housing and I get 60 pounds fuel pressure at idle, 75-80 at 1400rpm, and 115 at idle with return line capped. No more than 25 during cranking. How much cranking fuel pressure do these need to fire?
06 c15 acert crank no start problems
