06 Century erratic speedometer at idle

    When starting cold speedometer goes nuts up and down triggering ELD to drive mode, can't bump the RPMs as it kicks it off the idle cruise control thinking I'm driving, when engine warms up and hot nothing happens and can idle just fine. S60 with Meritor transmission, cruise and speed is fine when driving. Speed sensor? Wires? What should I look at and replace before taking it to the shop, if anyone familiar with such issue.

    Pull the instrument cluster out and check the wiring for rubbing, cuts or breaks.
