It probably does work but it's only like 60hp and only if the fuel isn't actually hot. If you hook it to a scan tool it will show the fuel at like 160* with it hooked up.

 

thanx 4 the 1.5 k info little cat! I've played around with it a little. On my old cummins N14 I used to put a check valve in the air line that connected the fuel pump to the intake. It did the same thing. I probably wont run it like that, but it makes me feel good to know that i can trick my old "enemy", the computer!!

How far should I back my accuators off? I see that gets brought up but haven't read how far to go. I'm due for an overhead soon. Thanks.

 

when i ran overhead the iva is suppose to be .020, if i could slide my .020 feeler guage in there easy, i didnt worry about setting it, never really saw an approvement in backing them up to .030 or more. just checked them and if they werent tight i let 'em roll.

 

I get your drift!! Ive talked to "Mr Haney"! I want to do as you suggest! Ive got some other issues goin on with my engine ive got to work out first. Still wondering though, I remember when I reworked my manual fuel pump. I bought MYSELF dinner!! Why should I feel any different about this computer. If it wasnt for the "communists" I wouldnt have to buy a Gazillion other people "dinner", (not to mention a furr coat for their wife) just so i could work a piece of equipment i already own. It's not the fault of "technology". But electronics, greed, corruption, & control sure seem to end up @ the same parties again & again until it almost gives u goosebumps!
IT'S ALL MY FAULT, I BOUGHT THEIR ENGINE! I'm not alone. Check out the # of sleds peterbilt is selling! Are they powering them with electronic engines? Hurrah!! Bring back the constitution, Alleigance to the Flag, and our Troops Home!! THEY'VE GIVEN THIER ALL!
