I know this issue has been beat to death but I am no good at searching the forms for info and what I can find is that you need to get ahold of Mr.Haney to reflash your ecm, only problem is i cant find info on how to get ahold of him. Just like many others I have a MXS ACERT C15 and it gets Horrible MPG Compared to my old T800 with an N14. Like 4.3 to 4.7 MPG. I live in South MN so mostly flat land running 90K pulling a Tri Ax Hopper no more than 60MPH and I'm getting my butt kicked on the fuel bill. Any tips and tricks would be awesome other than buy plastic turban burban.
Truck specs as follows.
2006 W900L C-15 ACERT MXS 550/1850 Tune IVAs are backed off with straight pipes
3.55 Rears
265WB
10sp
22.5 high pro duals
72in sleeper
My T-800 was about the same just with a 525 N14, Low pro supers, and a 13sp and a little shorter frame. I was talked into a cat because they are supposed to be the bees knees when it comes to motors and was supposed to be sooooo much better than my N14 and so far it don't seem to pull much better and is a MPG is a lot worse pulling the same trailer loaded to 90K.

It's junk. Guess you'll have to sell it to me. Of course with that mpg it's not worth much. Maybe we can work out a monthly installment plan.....
Firstly, are you driving it like a Cat, or still driving it like a Cummins?
Second, before you go looking to flash ecms and the like, what diagnostics have you had done? There are little things like various sensors, the atmospheric pressure sensor and other temp sensors that may need changing. If the ecm input data is bad, that needs fixed first.
What 10spd is it? I think they had a direct model and an od model. What rpm is the engine running at 60 in the top hole? 3.55s with 275s is good, but if you do not have overdrive, you're going to be in the fuel sucking range. It takes fuel to push a brick down the road. The N14 is a highly under rated engine. There's a reason you don't hear a lot from the N14 owners, they just carry a spare cam sensor in the jocky box and run.
IMO.Sons Hero Thanks this. -
