'07 Freightliner blowing white smoke from exhaust and leaking coolant...

    Just wanted to post an update:

    We determined it was the EGR cooler byou disconnecting the line that runs from the EGR system, across the top of the motor. Turned the truck on and watched coolant spray out.

    Replaced the cooler on Saturday (4 hr job) and the truck runs great now.

    $1300 for the cooler
    $200 labor for my on site Mechanic.

    Oh well, time to make some $ again. Hammer down, we gotta gooo......

    A bad compressor will blow air through the coolant and blow it out the header tank and the coolant was coming out the exhaust

    how much water was coming out and is there any water in the oil (milky) most likely egr cooler
