Looking for advice to see if I can fix before I take truck to Mechanic. The Trailer ABS Light does not come on when turning key 1 turn and then turn off like it's supposed to. I used a different truck last week and the ABS trailer light did cycle on the dash and the back of the trailer like it's supposed to, indicating this is a truck issue. The only time the dash and light comes on is when I apply brakes. I was told the truck isnt supplying continuous power to the trailer because the 7 pin on the connector isn't energized. If I ran a wire in pin 7( believe it's middle) would that solve problem?

Correct. The blue wire in the center of your pigtail is the abs circuit. It should be live with the key on.
    Good luck

I don't think just running power to the center pin will fix your dash abs light. It should fix your trailer abs light function.

The Dash trailer abs light should work in conjunction with the light on the trailer. What else could the problem be

If he runs a hot feed to the center pin from the battery, ignition switch or fuse panel bypassing the ABS controls in the
Truck. The trailer has it's own ECU that will work independently from the truck.

Running power to the center pin is a temporary fix for the trailer ABS. This doesn't fix the real problem.

The power for the center pin should come from the ABS controller in the truck.
The "real problem" is a broken connection (broken wire, blown fuse, bad ECU) from the truck ECU to the center pin in the pigtail.
