The traction control light on my dash keeps blinking for no apparent reason. Of course, when it does, the truck thinks it's losing grip and drops the power.
I don't have a clue how that part of these trucks works or where to begin to look. Does it use the ABS sensor? Or have a separate one?
Any help is appreciated. Going to spend some time looking around for chaffed wires.

Yes, this is part of the ABS system. It is likely seeing no wheel speed at all from the steer axle and seeing only speed from the drives and therefore thinks you are spinning out.
RustyBolt Thanks this. -

A visual inspection hasn't turned up anything note worthy.
Any chance the throttle position sensor is tied in to that system? Reason I ask is that when the light flashes, I can let off and then mash the throttle, which seems to break that particular occurrence. It also seems to not happen when foot is off the throttle coasting. Nor when I am accelerating.
