08 Pete Purchase

    I have a connect that I can purchase an 08 Pete for $45K. At the time, the 09's were not out so it was a new ride. Still assuming its a new ride, as a newb is this a good decision?

    I've read here on how bad the market is so that's definitely a downer. BUT I have family that are lifelong truckers (20 yrs +) that can show me the ropes.

    My real question is, assuming my personal finances are in order is purchasing at $45K a good first time purchase or should I look at a lower price range to see how things play out?
