I need to know if the tandem pump can cause fuel dilution? I see that the power steering and fuel pumps run on the same shaft. If the o ring between the two, or some other part for that matter, is worn or incorrectly installed, can fuel seep into the crankcase from this point? 25k on oil, 5.1 fuel dilution. Been trending upward since this pump was changed.

Not likely. It would have to make its way thru the power steering pump and then into the flywheel housing. Most likely cause is a slobbering injector and a washed cylinder.

If the upper o-ring fails on an injector it can pump fuel from the rail into the valve cover area.
