Thou shalt not admit to being a new driver. Always claim to be a veteran driver. I've been driving a truck since i could reach the clutch pedal!

Thou shalt not admit to being a company driver. Lie and say you're an owner operator.

Never admit to not making money. Tell everyone you make $2000 a week as a company driver at werner.

Whats wrong with parking next to the scale?

Because one does it. Then 2, then 3; then the guys that are parked in what is called a parking spot can't get out because of all the handi-cap parkers who have just jacked everything up...:biggrin_25516:

Ok, I know what you mean. Honestly, i've only took a 10 hr break next to a scale twice, and one time was next to someone next to the scale. and woke up with someone next to me. But it was a truckstop that had a huge area next to the scale, and nobody was blocked in from me...or the truck next to me. But yes, I see what you're talking about all the time in truckstops that do NOT have that much room, and it bugs the heck out of me too. Usually when i park by a scale its just for a quick trip inside and then i go back out on the road.

I actually blocked someone in once. I was out of hours, i was at that TA at exit 7 on the NJTP, i was simply too tired to drive, i knew there was nowhere else i could get to to legally park. Most people were parked like a dick, blocking empty spaces. I parked next to the end of the row in front of the fuel island. I got woke up at 5 am by a guy who claimed i was blocking him in. But by that point it was no big deal to just move my truck to a parking place...

There wasnt much I could do. I even circled the lot for a couple hours hoping someone would leave, but no one did.

Thou who is driving a loaded truck on a hill shall not let the truck speed up to 80 and pass everyone on the way down, only to slow down to 20 on the next one....

Thou shall not pay truck stop prices for anything unnecessary.

Thou shall never be lost, if fuel gauge is over 1/2.

Thou shall not support any company named after the man that crucified Christ.
