No you can't . Indiana DOT and FMCSA went to Dually Depot and to Classic Transport and measured several of these sleepers . They don't meet the height requirements . Mike_MD also concluded that after measuring one himself .
RoadMedic can also confirm this . RV transport companies will not allow sleeper berth to be logged in this conversion .
Although the manufacturer of the Crew Cab Sleeper lists Dually Depot as a distributor you won't find that conversion listed in the products on Dully Depot's website . They refunded money to customers that had bought them .Roadmedic Thanks this. -
Hmmm keep hearing all these comments about Democrats flushing the country down the toilet i thought it was a combined effort by both parties try reading the news papers once in a while.

Since the Dims have had control of the Congress "keepers of the purse strings", yes they are responsible for much of this mess.
Since the "liar in charge" has done nothing to follow through with his "different kind of politics" theme and promise fro the campaign of 2008, yes the dims are responsible for much of this mess.
What reading the papers will tell us is that we have a more corrupt government than we had before, we have more economic troubles than we had before, we have a government that is more concerned with getting reelected than with doing there jobs. -
That's sad. Theres no reason that sleeper shouldnt be legal.

Harkening back to the original topic: 10-hour break in a day cab?
In the old days, some drivers would shut down together near parks and other public places, and just camp out right there on the grass... cooking a potluck dinner or whatever and sharing a meal before crawling into their blankets or bedrolls. The cops knew and understood why the truckers did this, and generally left 'em alone.
Some drivers stretched planks across the seats and did their best to make themselves comfortable... which doesn't sound so hot. Personally, I'd opt for the grass and burn the planks as firewood, but that's just the way I am, having spent a lifetime in the wilderness.
Nowadays, if I were stuck in some miserable day cab, I'd probably put that piece of junk through the wall of a motel ("Heeeeeeeere's Johnny!!!!!!!"), then "camp out" in the room...

I just started doing expedited delivery in box trucks without a sleeper, I have done many overnighters in my cab laying across the driverseat and bench seat. I was recently told that this is against dot regulations is this true? Ive always went off duty, not sb, really confused on this because my boss allows for a motel room only if its a 2 nighter or better or if its a team run. I had a driver at my hub ask me if I been staying in a motel, and I said no so Im looking into what he was saying. What kind of fine is it for sleeping in my cab as well? Can someone post a link to where this is a dot regulation and also the fines.

395.2 definitions - On-duty time:
On-duty time means all time from the time a driver begins to work or is required to be in readiness to work until the time the driver is relieved from work and all responsibility for performing work. On-duty time shall include:
(4) All time in or on a commercial motor vehicle, other than:
(i) Time spent resting in or on a parked vehicle, except as otherwise provided in § 397.5 of this subchapter (HM attendance);
http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/title49/section/395.2
It used to be against the regs to sleep across the drivers seat in a parked vehicle and call it off-duty, but not anymore. -
Wow...... So you can sleep in a day cab.... Great
