This is definitely a challenge, an interesting and exciting one but still a challenge.

I can imagine myself applying for a truck driving job; I have no official job history, and yet have worked steady as self employed doing a great variety of things. No official truck driving experience, but have had plenty of private under 26K truck driving experience even with doubles, (sometimes poorly balanced trying to fishtail over 45) poor brakes, over loaded, etc. I can feel what a truck or load handles like and drive to compensate for it's peculiarities. For awhile I was hauling green railroad ties for a friend who ran a mill. on a '67 chevy 50 series truck. 100 ties on a flatbed dump that was way too flexible for it's own good. Felt like it would turn over with the least sway on a corner. Had to drive that thing very cautiously.
Then there was the "64 chevy 60 I used to have, the brakes never were quite right, but I hauled 10 ton loads 100 miles a bunch of times with it. I have a bit more common sense now than I did back then. A few near misses tend to make us be more careful. I finally retired both trucks due to bad brakes, now I use a military 6x6. ready to take a load of logs into the mill with it in the morning. Got a couple more loads and that'll be about it for my good timber. But I think it's enough to get me on the road with something that'll start paying.
But I don't see that I'll need to be applying for anything. Since I can get started as an O/O with an old friend for a 'load getter' who I've known for something like 27 years, first met him when he was 14 and I was 20. -
So I thought I would get a copy of my report from hire right also. Thinking I could use that for dates worked with what companys. Well the only thing on it is C1 looking into it for school. So does anyone know if I should even try to find dates or just go with it since Ive never driven or held a cdl. I did have a class B once but never used it and it was over 20 yrs ago.

If someone already answered this please forgive me.....but the application says 3 years work history, and previous 7 years if you had a trucking job. If you are a student and never had a trucking job, the law only requires your past 3 years work history.
