Averaging 3000 a week as company driver(s)? That figures out to 150,000 per yr. taking off 2 weeks for vacation. Now 8- 10,000 per week? Wow , we'll say 9,000 for a average. 450,000 bucks a year ( 2 wks not figured again for vacation). Man you are a money make'in machine. Or could it be a big BSer.?
10 year veterans at megas, why would you stay?

He claimed that since he was a Native American that he was exempt from tax laws. He had a hard time finding an attorney to represent him. Most of them just laughed at him.
He's out of business now. Permanently.
When the state and the feds got through kicking him back and forth like a football he wound up with five years in prison and everything he owned being attached by various governmental agencies.
Even when he gets out of prison he'll be in hock for the rest of his life.
Don't fall for that Sovereign Citizen garbage about not paying taxes. -

I saw a Werner guy with a 3-5million mile sticker on his truck. Can’t remember which one. Guess he loves it there. Probably does what he wants there probably has
Lunch with the owner every now and then. I was thinking to my self all those years of lost wages. But if your happier then a clam there then it’s your thing.laaylor Thanks this. -

Without naming names, I’ll tell you exactly why. But let me also tell you, my first 5 years was a complete living hell.
I stayed due to family obligations in the beginning. But it morphed into a desire to do more, outside of driving the truck.
I spoke with dozens of companies, small and large. NONE, ZERO were willing to match the money, or the requirements I was asking for.
My average take home was $925 a week for the year. Cry me a River!!... But that’s a 52 week average. I worked less than 42.
I take off when I #### well please, I return to work usually within 30 days. I can take off 2 months at a time if I want. But, I have to take a road test after 30 days.
We do a month (29 days) vacation in the summer. Then another during the Christmas holidays. With a week or two, sprinkled here and there. No questions asked by employer, ever. Other than when do I think I will be back.
Name me ONE #### company that will beat that. And I’ll call them tomorrow.
No, not really. Because I take delivery of my own truck in January. And I’ll be leasing it on with the same company.
That’s why people retire from some Mega Carriers. Because they’re treated like humans, not cattle.
Edit: I won’t be taking a month this ChristmasLast edited: Dec 10, 2018
