Since the new management is younger than me, and owns a majority of the company. I suspect I’ll fall over dead before anything changes. ;)

And what is this mega-carrier you work for that treats you like a human being?

I don’t live to truck. I truck to live. We now stay out 4-5 weeks and come home for 2.

    SteerTire Thanks this.

I talk about my job, not my employer. It really wouldn’t matter who it is. There would be hate and discontent for the next 50 post on this thread lol

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

Exactly right!! I explained it in detail to a former employer.

What good is it if I make $100k a year. If I’m never off to spend it. F that. And there is ZERO quality in a 34 reset at home. Other than reminding your wife and kids you still live there, and visit occasionally.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

Lots of people work 50 weeks a year. Some 52. Some have more obligations than others. Each to their own. Me, personally, truck'in is my hobby.

    bryan21384 and Mike2633 Thank this.

50 normal person weeks or 50 truck driver weeks? A trucking week is 7 days. Normal people get weekends off. I’ve never heard of anybody working 50 7 day weeks in a row without a day off.
