But I do not take punishment.
I do things as I like, and in my own time.
I get along with all the people I work with, and they go out of their way to keep me happy.
And that has been the case since I first started with Swift.

4 terminals, half a dozen driver managers... and seldom any kind of problem with anything or anyone.

I think much of that is due to being based at the smaller terminals.
Fontana, Otay Mesa, Inver Grove Heights and now Menasha.
    And some really great DM's.

    1)
No matter where you would have gone to, you probably would have done well. This seems to be in your character and work ethic.
    2) God bless you and your entire family!

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.

A good attitude is 95% of the battle.

Had mud flowing into my boots 2 weeks ago it was so deep, as i tried to walk to a machine. Then got coated in mud entirely chaining up. I could have yelled and cursed. Instead I laughed about it, and chose to not be a grump, or have a tantrum.
When they stopped me at the scales, guy took one look at me, smiled, and said it ' looked like I had a fun day '. When I laughed, so did he, without even looking at my permits, he said ' everything seems to be in order here, drive safely '.

Oh, I am entirely too lazy to justify those last two posts.

I do well at Swift because I have been fortunate in the terminals and DM's, and Swift has a system that I can 'utilize' to (usually) do things my own way.

My work ethic is such that I will do my absolute best to get it there when I say I will.
But I avoid loads that go contrary to my own rules of engagement.
I could not get away with that at a very many companies.
