Curiously, would you load this any different today? I know you do not have the ramp off the tandem down below to load that in the same way, so that is obvious. Only reason am asking is because it looks a little tall.
Was just going through some of my photos of the old trailer trying to re think where certain vehicles should have went. Height or length was generally the issue on the Miller, weight was generally pretty balanced & never had to check that much. Not knocking the load, just curiosity?

Oh & measured the deck thickness the other day. It is 3/16 the same as Cottrell. Only difference is the punch from oval to circle on W.M.

I would not be able to do that today with the 8 spot gone I tried everything to get it to fit that day and that was my final try it even took a few different configuration of the cars to get that to work. It was only 14 feet tall I never load higher than that but I was way way out the back. Would I do it again today probably not I know better than to believe customers and thee its just a regular truck crap when it really had like a 12 foot bed. I took a chance and won that day. Last week though I lost I thought I could go through Iowa on a Sunday afternoon and save myself 100 miles or so and got nailed for being 6 feet 6 inches off the front of the trailer and I guess Iowa is dumb and only 3 feet is legal and a extra six inches off the back. I'm young and still learning from my mistakes.

Have heard Iowa was tough on over hang. So 3' total is their limit? Wow. They are worse than Florida, at least you can buy the permit there for $20.

Did they write you a ticket and let you go, OR did they write you a ticket and make you drop one and come back for it?

We seemed to get nailed for overhang all the time, so I was just curious.

Gotcha, yeah, I figured that, we don't even run any flippers or ext. but I think the problem is some of these DOT guys don't look at us a vehicle hauler, and they don't want any overhang off of 53' stepdecks.

Three feet off the front and four feet off the back in iowa. And the idiots dont know how to measure a trailer either he measured it as 55 feet. Florida changes that too a couple years ago also it used to be you could be 80 feet exclusive of overhang and now its 80 feet including overhang.

Meant to post this earlier today. Spoke with Alan at the plant today & they do have a Mack Special that just went through paint, ready in may be a week? Do not know the specific options aside from the tire size is 19.5 & has the tiremaax system. Only posting as I know trailers are tough to come by right now & this is several thousand dollars cheaper than the loaded up stack custom. http://www.wallymo.com/7CCMACKSPECIAL.html

that's a Jack Key truck out of Dallas, I know some of their drivers. They Fabricate most of their own headracks and do a lot of modifications on their trailers. They haul the dodge Chrysler stuff out of the railyard in Memphis, tn. They also have several wally mo stinger set ups. I know one one of their highmount 7 cars has had 4-6 feet added in the belly to make room for 3 four door trucks on bottom. They deliver a lot of local deliveries and never see scales sometimes. They have around 25 trucks is what one of their drivers told me.

I could load that load on my miller T7, the minivan you have on the top back I would put on top in front then to of the smallest cars you have on bottom I would put on #2 and #3 on top with the big truck on top back making use of the overhang hangin off the back of the trailer. then I would put the next smallest car in the front belly and raise my middle rack in bottom and put the towncar from the top there with the hood over the trunk of the first belly car and the last car from the bottom on back would go no problem. I can run two tahoes and two camrys on the top of my miller and three crown vics or grand marquis in bottom all day long making use of the middle deck on bottom that raises and extends on the miller. not all millers have this option though.
