We have similar companies here in Canada. It’s called Driver Inc (driver incorporates themself) I tried to negotiate a run with company..he wanted me to run 6 or 7 days, 700 miles run daily on two lane 55mph hwy. I told him id do 4 days..we could not agree.

There, I just dropped a list of good Chicago companies!

The thing is, risk is everything in life in general. If you want to even have half a chance at this, just stay away from any Chicago/Indiana companies. That gives you some chance at least. There is probably a decent company over there, but chances of you finding it and going to work there are really slim. If you try one of those companies, you're just begging to get screwed over really hard.
Speedy356 and FullMetalJacket Thank this. -
Nolelover61, 88 Alpha and FullMetalJacket Thank this.

I didn't say that.
I said that your best bet would be to avoid them due to the high risk. If that isn't what you want to do, then do a LOT of research trying to figure out where the good ones are and roll the dice. I guarantee there are good ones. Try finding one and landing there.FullMetalJacket Thanks this. -
It's the people who fall for the "high dollars" schpeil that are the problem.Sirscrapntruckalot, 88 Alpha, FullMetalJacket and 1 other person Thank this. -
What my esteemed colleague @Lonesome is saying, if I may put it crudely is that in the same way not all hookers will give you the clap, not all Chicago companies will put it to you. Unsavory companies, much like their street walking counterparts have certain characteristics you must learn to recognize and avoid. A shot of penicillin or a stop by TTR with a sob story we have all heard countless times before can both be avoided with some due diligence.
Sirscrapntruckalot, broke down plumber, Lonesome and 3 others Thank this.
