Hi all,
I am having a bit of trouble here. I do not have an issue with shifting or double clutching, however, when it comes to downshifting, I get a little lost as to where I am in the gears. I dont know if its the fact that I am starting out in second gear and dont remember that. I am used to a 5spd car. I am ok from 2 to 5, hit the splitter, and am good at 6, but going higher then downshifting i get lost as to where I am. Does this make any sense? I dont really know how to explain it. Anyone have any tips or tricks for remembering where you are in the gearing?

Just remember that there are 5 low gears & 5 high.
When you split from low to high put the shifter in the same gears that you did on the low side. 1/6 toward you & down, 2/7 neutral then over a little then up, 3/8
streight down, 4/9 all the way over than up, 5/10 streight down. By looking at the stick you should be able to see what gear you are in. It takes practice,it will come to you.
When down shifting just reverse the process, it takes practice, be patient. -

how about trying to up shift with the jake on.
sometimes i forget i have it on.
