It is sorta a coincidence that the CHP Officer that happened to pull him over was driving a K-9 car.

 

No it wasn't.

Even if some attorney gets the guy off for no probable cause, and I can't see that happening.
What is somebody going to do, go down to the CHP barracks and claim their heroin & the truck that was carrying it?

 

The way the guy that owned the drugs figures it is some one owes him stacks and stacks of cash. I don't know bout y'all but I don't know of a driver/owner operator one that can afford the payments if the wheel would work with him.

Opiate withdrawals won't kill a person. They may wish they were dead while going thru it, but it is not fatal (unlike alcohol or benzo withdrawals, which are extremely dangerous).

After he caught wind of it the guy may have stole it from someone else, while trying to put some distance in between they and he before they caught wind of it missing, he messed up his score
