I have never used that product but know the thermostat is supposed to be removed when it is used. Lack of flow may have stopped up some radiator tubes.
It has been a while but I had a 58 Plymouth Savoy. The radiator was leaking and my pockets were empty. I put stop leak in it ( Silver Solder I thank? ) It stopped the leak but I also had no heat. Took the heater hoses off the engine at the car wash. Put the pressure washer end in the heater core return line and pulled the trigger. Problem solved. Doubt todays cores would stand it or the open header ends would flush it all out.
Sometimes kids do stupid stuff but that one worked.
There was a 14 liter running through here every day from two states away. It passed all those tests over and over. Blew a gallon of coolant everyday. Home base finally had it torn down, dropped liners.

I know if you do not have pictures you maybe lying. This is the only picture I could find of my Plymouth. It was like the 4 door granny version of the car in the Christen movie but it would not fix itself. It had push buttons for the automatic on the left side. P/S, P/B and A/C which was very rare for a Plymouth. My older brothers over reved it and scattered the valve train. I asked when I was 13 and my parents gave it to me. When I came back from Germany I drove it back and forth to Nashville Auto Diesel College. It was a rear girl sketcher! Ha Ha as you could not even buy a date with the car.
A picture is worth a thousand words they say. That house is where my grandmother was born. The main house is log with slab siding added later. The add on to the left was built on for my great aunt. There is a name for those fresh air rooms for people with tuberculosis? She came back from Florida and they took care of her to the end. The building off to the left was the smoke house. Chimney was made from stones from the creek.
Please excuse my out of subject trip down memory lane. We children had to help white wash all the trees in order to keep some kind of insects away from the house.
So after all of that how is all this EPA stuff really helping us when that big old boat would get 17 MPG at KIMG0016.JPG 75 PH?
