Upper 7's for fuel mileage?? If I could achieve anything close to that, it would make my engine rebuild easy to pay for. I pull cattle pot or flatbed with round hay bales. Lucky to get over 5, if it's windy, lower 4's.

I called Erich on Monday and left a message, haven't heard from him.

Maybe he’ll get back to you soon. My truck is an 80 flc flat top and I pull flatbed and step deck. Some may call bs on my fuel numbers, but I am not trying to prove or sell anything, just saying it works good for me . 75k miles last year 7.6 mpg average.

From what I’ve researched, you’re mk engine doesn’t have coolers, but block is drilled and capped. New OH kit comes with new cooler nozzles. I think you also have 16.5 pistons.

My 12.7 had a 5195 cam & 4970 injectors...that tune produced 697/2190 at the crank on the dyno. It was just torn apart for a bullgear issue & I switched cams. I went to a 5526 cam & the it jumped to 799/2850. But it needs to be retuned so I don't burn up any pistons because they're only OEM grade.

I have a 12.7 in my glider. Guy I spoke with today says get marine injectors and marine cams.... would that be better for an upgrade or a Bully dog power box?
-
5526 cam? I thought the 5195 and the 4912 were the only 2 options for a 12.7.
-
I don't have experience with the marine parts to offer advise.
