Hi, i have '05 columbia with 14.0l detroit in it, i`m looking at eather buying glider or buying pre 2000 12.7 detroit engine and installing it in columbia. I have not done anything like this before, so i was wondering if someone had a shopping list of what is needed for the job, and how difficult of a job is it(not going to do it myself) thx

Perty much a compleat bolt in.
Only thing is you'll need an adapter to go from ddec 5 to ddec 4 on the truck side wiring harness. Someone like mahk ind can make that up .

    The_Great_Corn and ColumbiaBoB Thank this.

If you're doing this to get around E-logs, it won't work. As soon as you show the DOT officer that you have a pre-2000 engine in a '05 that isn't a glider, you'll get the e-log ticket and you'll be slapped with a fine for tampering with the emissions plus you'll have to add the EGR or lose your plates. It's not like a delete where it might be hard for them to prove. You're flat out telling them you've put a non-emissions engine in a truck that legally requires them. It'll be pretty open and shut in court.

That's not how it works. You should try reading a book once in a while
