That's it in a pic. The welded ends that hold the u-joints need to be lined up the same. The yoke on splines needs to be rotated 180 degrees opposed to those welded ends on the 2 drive shafts between the trans and front diff.

Thanks @rollin coal and @Star Rider. These are the things that if never told you never know about them. Never heard anyone speak of it.
larry2903, Elroythekid, D.Tibbitt and 5 others Thank this. -
I'm not saying that's all of your problem but it could be some of it. Like was said by ProffessionalNoticer it'll only have a vibration if you're driving it when it's out of phase.
Like others mentioned if it's a rough idle vibration while you're parked maybe having someone that knows what the F they're doing to adjust your overhead might fix that. That'll cost you about 4 hours of labor give or take.
Visually checking driveline phase cost you zero. And may or may not cost you some labor to correct. -
Oh I’m just thankful for the knowledge, not that it might pertain to my issue. Im still going to check it. Just glad to learn something. Usually Anytime driveshafts are talked about, only balancing, u joints or carrier bearings are mentioned. So that's as far as my knowledge ever went. Even the suspension shop never said anything and that’s their core business.rollin coal, InTooDeep, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this.

Just saying if you're not moving than whatever causing that particular issue would not be driveline related.Bean Jr., JoeyJunk and Rideandrepair Thank this.

You can tell if they’re good. You can easily see them. Also like the others, when worn out, the bottom washer will spin, bolt will be loose, can’t tighten the nut because of the bushings. Your Trucks going to be smooth now. No more vibration. Hopefully that’s also the noise you’ve been hearing.
-
Only other noise is the voices in my head telling me to get revenge on these guys. But so far, I have resisted lol.D.Tibbitt, Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this.

Who did you have build it?JoeyJunk, Bean Jr. and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Small shop in SW PA. I will reveal the name once this is over with. Just in case this ends up in court.
I really doubt anyone has heard of or will ever use this company. They have been around forever. On second owner after first retired. They do a lot of industrial and off road engines. A lot of old stuff.austinmike, D.Tibbitt, Siinman and 1 other person Thank this. -
All that vibration done shook your crown off

Bean Jr., Rideandrepair and JoeyJunk Thank this.
