Hell yeah with the inverter. It took me spending a lot of money, and gaining some weight before I bought a 800w inverter just to run a mini-fridge. How often are you in your bunk for 12 hours?

I've had great luck with my Coleman cooler. As stated it cools to about 30-40 degrees cooler than the ambient temp of the cab. My only suggestion is during the winter months, if you shut off the truck at night, you should unplug the cooler otherwise if the temps get to 50 or less your food and drinks will freeze.

I also have a road pro cooker. I love it, it works great of you have time to make little dinners in the tins or if you want to hear something up. I'd suggest getting a roll of aluminum foil that way you can wrap up whatever you want to cook. The cooker takes a little while to cook food. For instance chili takes me about 45-1hr to heat up. You also have to flip burritos, burgers etc to get even heating.

Nothing beats a microwave for speed but I lasted 2 years with just the cooker just fine. You learn your cook times and eventually get really good at planning meal times around your schedule.

Id still get the inverter so you can get a tv, microwave , maybe a coffee maker.

I have the 12v coffee maker but it only makes a few cups and it takes about 15 mins to make the pot. Still better than nothing but I have to make 2 pots to fill my mug.

Oh I also have an ElectroWarmth bunk warming pad. You can find them at the TA for $99 or you can get them online for about $20 cheaper. Being in CA you can get fined for idling over 5 mins so it's a must for me.

Ive run the heating pad on high with my cooler plugged in and watched 3hrs of tv with the truck off all night and have never had a problem firing up after my 10

Incase you're wondering the fine for a first idling offense in CA is $300

Lol, I was without 120V for a while so I bought one of the 12v coffee makers. The big one though, the same size coffee pot as your normal household one. Got up in the morning, fired it up and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Took something like 45 minutes to make a pot. mmmm, nothing like slow roasted :biggrin_2559:

To the OP, go for the inverter.
