Dude,
As said before...
You are posting ACTUAL figures as to your situation.
Any others here can take it for whatever they will.
But, real actual figures from experience put out to those that may follow. Situation dependent, of course......
You're one of the few to post up actual figures, good or bad.
Screw any of the negative comments that will ALWAYS come part & parcel in a thread like this.
Can I do better, absolutely & you will soon see. A lot of folks removed from the Mega's can.
I believe actual experience like this is some of the most valuable information you can pass on to others trying to find their way.
Run "My way", you can "possibly" expect this.... Run harder or easier, expect more or less in direct in proportion. Doesn't get any more simple than that.
Oh, in closing I'll tell you this. I can get rates higher, for sure.
But, more importantly, my own is prob bigger than your's!....,![]()

I looked back a few of past years, and lowest operating expense was 84 cents per mile. That would include both fixed and fuel, maint. Etc, for a full year.
-
Thank you very much for all the great information. May I ask, even if you have to approximate, how many miles do you average annually? Or maybe, how often do you take home time? Once again thank you.
-
Miles depend on how hard you wish to run. I run on the low end around 2300 or less a week. I took two months of this last winter... Usually stop by the house every 2 to 3 weeks for a couple days...

@Prime-Mate Do you get to refuse loads without punishment or fear of punishment/sitting days for new load?
How did you pick out a truck, whatever they give you with your choice of year/make/color?
Do you get health benefits through the company? Or do you have to find it on your own
Thanks -
Thank you for the reply, would it be safe to say you run between approximately 80-85k miles a year?
