Its a cooler.. it doesnt have to run constantly

Will the food in it stay cold when the truck is not running? Like all nite. Im going to put milk and other drinks in it and dont wont them to spoil.
-
The food will warm up when the truck catches fire due to the plug overheating.

There is always a possibility if you have several things pulling off the batteries, you could run them down if stopped overnight. We had sometimes two heated blankets going when husbands volvo would sound the alarm. Don't forget trucks have so many electronics on them that run in the background. If you are at home on a reset it is better to empty it out and turn it off or hook it up to an extension cord to the house/garage. Check and see if you have a dedicated cig lighter in the back of the sleeper area that stays hot all the time vs going off when the key is off, you don't want your refrig to be off for long periods of time letting your food get hot.

Oh and we used the inverter for things like the microwave, coffee pot. The coleman was on the 12volt and the igloo he has now is also on the 12v

I was just at home for 2.5 days and left my Coleman plugged into an always-on power socket. Only when I climbed in this morning and turned the key on did the low battery (aka 'load shedding') warning go off. But the truck started right up. Granted, my ProStar+ has 8 batteries... YMMV
And yes, if it gets real cold inside the sleeper, the cooler WILL freeze solid whatever is in it. Like a coke. What a mess.
