Just curious, as I'm a company driver; With all the correct software, what can you tweak on a newer DDA-15 truck, still have some sort of emission quality...but make the driveability better?
For instance ( and I know this is gonna get fairly technical )...I worked at a place that had all later model Macks. But... they had the laptop & all V-MAC stuff.
I took a stock 63MPH truck, raised the cruise & top speed...BUT...changed the fuel curve in 7th, 8th, 9th, & 10th by a few %. Made it a completely new driver, w/o hurting the fuel economy.
Be a specific as needed, I speak theory. I think this 66 MPH truck can run 70 w/o killing the mileage. It will gain mileage by the mile...slowing from 65 to 63-64MPH. Thinking running it up to the speed limiter sends a W.O.T. signal to the PCM. No?
Thanx

I'm sure you not gonna plugin Bully Dog GT to ecm. They aren't available for detroits after 2007.

There's a couple diesel doctors in Effingham that can turn it up w/o flashing the ecm. Had one turn the speed limiter all the way up on my Coronado, only because he was cheaper than freightliner.

One company driver from hirschbach had 455 hp on his Cascadia, he later went to a shop and tuned it up to 490 hp.

That's interesting because when I had it in at the diesel doctor, he pulled the 562hp, 1850tq #s off the ecm. I saw it with my own eyes and remembered it because 562 seemed like a weird #. I'd always saw HP #s within increments of 25.
