The seats in my 13 Cascadia are like bouncing balls, I thought the 'shock dampener' was bad so I replace the driver side first at the cost of $140 for the part and 4 weeks waiting on part. It makes no difference at all. Are seats in other Cascadia all like this?
My local lube place is selling brand new 'Atlas II Elite' seat, I sit on it and it's a world of difference (much better) from the Cascadia's seat. Anyone has experience with this brand of seat?

Check the small handles on the front of the seat. One controls the stability of the seat.Last edited: Mar 11, 2019

When the ride gets wild, you can absolutely lock the seat in place. And ride some more. Make sure you have some dram-mine for nausea on hand.
Be glad you have something to bounce on at all. In my time you are bolted to the floor and indirectly to the frame. It's a nice way to seek out painful weaknesses in the spine to weed out those unfit for trucking. /sarc.KB3MMX, Working2party and PE_T Thank this. -
That's the first thing I did on the old 'shock absorber' as well as the new one, make NO noticeable difference. It's like the dampener has no effectiveness at all. I'm going to replace the driver seat, can't drive like this my legs muscles are acting as dampener

Yeah, but this is 2019 we have advanced quite a bit don't you think?x1Heavy Thanks this.

Buy that Atlas II Elite seat, or any other like it. You won't regret it.

The Cascadia seats are the absolute worst in the industry. An honor I honestly thought would be held for all time by the Mack Pinnacle seat.

Agreed. They're the cheapest of cheap.
Buy the Sears Atlas seat, best money you've ever spent is that drivers seat comfort !! -
I saw one of the brand new Granites or Pinnicles flop forward with the cab crossing a bridge approach plate on our 67 yesterday. Normally I would not notice too much from new trucks, but I was thinking he either had a airride steer axle or they have gone back to beating on your heads with those day cabs flopping around on bumps. It actually nosed down as well.
Now I havent driven anything big enough to notice for a long time, but if that is what I saw then I pity the fool.KB3MMX Thanks this.
