I have a 2009 Pro Star with a 13 speed eaton. Everything is fine until I get to top gear, split or not (12-13). Under power its fine, but if I try to maintain a steady speed anywhere from 50 to 70 mph it grinds real bad. If I add power or get off the throttle with the jake engaged it goes away. Impossible to maintain a steady cruise. Has new clutch and input shaft. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like its time for some new bearings in the back half of the box.

Yes, it does sound like its coming from the back of the tranny. Thanks for the input.

Could possibly be your ride height is off. That will make some horrible noises

I had issues with a 13 speed a few years ago that would vibrate hard enough to make the shifter audibly buzz while cruising.
Broken spring on/in the tranny, company truck so I don't know the exact details. But it took the shop less than 2hrs to diagnose and repair.
