I have a 74 359st im tryin to put a new style shifter knob on i need to know which ports to use if someone can help

To use the new style knob with the red thumb button you have to have an aluminum slave on the side of the trans. Yours may have already been switched over but may not. The originals were cast its pretty easy to tell the difference.
