No company that insists on safety and doing things right would even consider hiring Sammy . I don't think anyone reading this would hire him . It's the driver's ultimate responsibilty as to whether or not to move unsafe equipment .FMCSR requires reviewing the previous posttrip DVIR as part of the pre-trip . I bet on the trailer in question there was no DVIR . In that case the driver is to write a DVIR . If Sammy had done that and had documented proof of noting the defects the employer could not pressure him to operate the equipment without the defects being corrected without risking legal action and an FMCSA investigation.mamamullins and danmissouri Thank this.

I don't know that calling RickG vulgar names is the thing to do when he is giving his honest opinion.
It might be time to regroup and stop telling everyone to "F" off.black_dog106, CAXPT, jeepnut_nh and 2 others Thank this. -
133 points is the cut-off at most companies.

i almost started to feel some kind of sympathy for sammy69; but after his last post, nah. he's a young green horn that is just like another guy i had a run in with on here. he doesn't want to listen to advice from people who know, he's another know it all & is looking for sympathy. forget it. sammy69, when u learn to listen to guys who have been there & know, maybe trucking will be good to u; but with the attitude u have saying, that trucking is corrupt, & the way u talk as if trucking owe's u cause u spent money to come into it, come on get real. trucking is almost like any other career, IT'S ALL WHAT U MAKE IT. csa today is weeding out the undesireables, such as, drivers who don't do pre-trips, post-trips, etc; which u will be caught running with bad equipment. if u don't want to do it then by all means don't & go down the road & get ur violations; only shows what kind of driver u actually are.
