I run tanker and when we have flammable loads we are not allowed to smoke within 25' of the trailer. This includes the cab. As far as hauling HM in a van of on a flat, if you do not exceed 1001 pounds, you don't need the endorsement. However the bill of lading must still conform to the HM regs.

True. No special route if not placarded
-
Lack of placards doesn't change the fact it is a hazmat load if sign says no hazmat it still applies now if a sign red no class 1 or 2 hazmat I would be OK but this is class 9 hazmat sure with a placard or anything on trailer they don't know if they don't look at bills but say I get stopped while on non hazmat route that would put me in violationMidnightrider909 Thanks this.

Seriously, I think you researched the problem well and came up with a reasonable solution. If something had occurred you certainly would have been able to claim due diligence. -
Ya I got the compliment just was unsure on conscientious maybe I should look that one up lolquatto Thanks this.

I'll do it for you, you did a lot of reading the other night...
Conscientious - very careful about doing what you are supposed to do: concerned with doing something correctlyquatto Thanks this.
