36 in Canada and it's the first thing they check on American's logs . The second thing they check is if you have logs for the past 14 days . Canada requires 24 consecutive hours off every 14 days .
14 HOS and breaks? Also what is a 36 hour reset?

Yeah I caught that after I posted it.
Though it is 36 in Canada.
We can only work 14 in 24, can only drive 11 of those 14, and if you drive the full 11 every day.
You must take a 34, because you will have used your 70 before you hit your 8th day.
Now I know there are exceptions like the "emergency" exception, and the 16 hrs exception (though this one is only allowed 1 time in each 7 day period).
If I missed something please, politely, correct me.
Here is a link to the FMCSA guide to HOS.

You can work over 14, you just cant drive after 14 until you get 10 hours off.
And the guy asked what is a 34 hour reset. I said it is not required. If you are running a full week, then obviously you need it, but that doesnt happen every week now does it? Some people are under the impression that no matter what, once a week you must have a 34 hour reset and it is simply not true. -
You get a medal from safety for this...especially when you are on elogs

Did you dispatch for Crete when their driver that did that ran into the car with 6 kids in it and they burned to death after being pushed into a school bus ?
