LOL, that is fast! I remember when I was young and dumb running 120mph in an eighteen wheeler someone coming on the CB and saying, "you must be in good with the big man"...well this guy was in REALLY good! LOL. I'm scared to do over 80 in a car now, LOL.
I would love to see how this develops, since the top speed on the Accord is 135, and the speed on the BMW is 128. Both limited by the ecu. They aren't really tuner cars, probably won't hear anything else in the news about it.
Fastest truck I drove was just under 110mph. It was a red cabover Pete. Like a fool, I pegged it out a couple times coming back to Texas from California. These days, you couldn't pay me enough to drive a truck that fast. Been over 140 in a 72 SS camaro, won't ever do that again either unless I am on a race track strapped in to a car with a roll cage.
tjgosurf, thats the stock speed. Shark injectors and chips allow people to rev the engine and exceed the governed speed untill the engine blows. Add a few after market parts like exhausts and cold air intakes and you can create a rocket in your own garage. I would bet those kids were filming and put it up on youtube. My bimmer topped out at 120. After sharkin, it will go 150 and beyond. The spedo stops at 155 mph. As far as accords and bimmers not being tuner cars, thats untrue. Visit bimmerforums.com
... Guess my two RX-7's and DSM doesn't count for anything, but I know a cai and exhaust isnt going to upgrade the horsepower that much.
