15 companies, which one is the overall best in your opinion!

You my be right . It would be interesting to hear from some of those drivers after a few months .

 

I would still work for Swift which is not listed on this poll.

 

I think it'll be a mixed bag. As it is with every company.

I quit W&S last Christmas. And as you see, I still have nice things to say about them. They are a good company, as far as trucking companies go.

Would I go back ? Only if I had to, or if the economy picked up enough to insure I would remain regional LTL.

There are worse companies. I can see 14 on this list alone.

 

I am waiting for the the other 5 companies....

 

Good AM- Retired now but I was leased to Crete for 5+ years in the 80's and early 90's. Will tell anyone flat out there wasn't a better company in the U.S. to drive for at that time. My how times have changed and believe me I know that. Regardless I will tell you this: Even back then there were drivers at Crete griping and complaining about them and frankly in my opinion most of it was just plain BS. The only reason I left is my first wife passed away and I had a 13 year old daughter to take care of. I was an O/O and Crete was still willing to work with me to find perhaps a dedicated run I could do and still be home. Unfortunately it didn't work but it #### sure wasn't Cretes fault. Have they changed absolutley, but so has every other trucking company out there. Some for the better, some for the worse.JMO

 

Well , it's #### sure 7 kids are dead in GA because of the way Crete pushed their drivers and it is also on record they paid over $50,000 in fines as from the resulting audit , most of which was to follow requirements of random drug testing . I don't care how compliant they run now because they HAVE TO . The same people that pushed their drivers until somebody got killed are still in charge .
Oh , the driver in jail as a result of that accident was running a dedicted run they worked with him on so he could be home .

 

Sounds like our political system, Even if you do not have any idea, vote anyway. Its better to have people with first hand knowledge vote, as at best the rest is a guess.

If they have no first hand knowledge who is that helpful, migh as well put there names into a hat.
