I would still work for Swift which is not listed on this poll.

I quit W&S last Christmas. And as you see, I still have nice things to say about them. They are a good company, as far as trucking companies go.
Would I go back ? Only if I had to, or if the economy picked up enough to insure I would remain regional LTL.
There are worse companies. I can see 14 on this list alone.JustSonny Thanks this. -

I didn't include several companies that were in the original poll - Swift, Werner, Prime and and JB Hunt. I kept Roehl in the new poll as they were the leader in the original poll from start to finish. Schneider was added late in the original poll so I included them in the new poll to see if they would fare better.
I think, at some point, I'll do a poll that only lists front runners! A poll like that wouldn't have a lot of value but it might be fun to see the outcome.
My hope is that enough experienced drivers will respond to this current one to make it valid. There were a little over 100 responses to the original but I think this new poll needs at least 200 participants.
As you know, it only takes seconds to vote in a poll and I hope drivers with solid experience will take those few seconds and vote.
We'll see! Have a good and safe day Nana!

Okay, the poll is about 9 hours old. 26 truckers have participated.
JCT still has the early lead (30.77%. Roehl, the leader in the first poll, has but just 1 vote.
Watkins Shepard is the only carrier, this early in the poll, that is giving JCT competition.
C R England, Knight and Covenant have NO votes! Why?
Thanks to those who have participated!Last edited: Nov 27, 2009

Good AM- Retired now but I was leased to Crete for 5+ years in the 80's and early 90's. Will tell anyone flat out there wasn't a better company in the U.S. to drive for at that time. My how times have changed and believe me I know that. Regardless I will tell you this: Even back then there were drivers at Crete griping and complaining about them and frankly in my opinion most of it was just plain BS. The only reason I left is my first wife passed away and I had a 13 year old daughter to take care of. I was an O/O and Crete was still willing to work with me to find perhaps a dedicated run I could do and still be home. Unfortunately it didn't work but it #### sure wasn't Cretes fault. Have they changed absolutley, but so has every other trucking company out there. Some for the better, some for the worse.JMO
