Update #1 Thanks all for the inputs!!

So this week I called Prime, Maverick, Schnieder and Werner......the high points were in reverse order.

Werner-pay was in the middle, 401k program was so so and I didnt get past question #10 because I hung up. Yep thats right. I know big surprise. I initially was put on hold for 43 seconds then put on hold 2 more times while speaking to the recruiter. Gave the impression they didnt have enough time to talk to me.

Maverick-doesnt run east coast near Virginia Beach but provided good answers for an Arkansas based newbie.

Schnieder- was the surprise, mid grade pay and the big kicker was the the 1 for 1 401k.

Prime- most professional, courteous, gave me the name and number of the perosn I was speaking to, great ride along program, above average pay.

Gonna work on adding more questions to the list now.

Thanks all again and keep it safe!

DB, could you please explain the "working off 34 hour resets or recaps"
Transflo? Is that the scanning software for receipts? Also could you give me rough numbers for all those additional pays you mention so I have a basis to compare?
    Thanks sir.

Transflow is basically scanning your paperwork. Most trucks tops have a transflow center.

34 hour reset is being off duty or sleeper berth or a combination or both. After 34 consecutive hours your 70hr clock is reset. In June or July the new reset rule will be that a reset must take place between the hours of 0100 and 0500. That's going to screw a lot of drivers.

A recap is gaining the hours worked 9 days ago. You count current day and 7 days back. The hours for those 8 days get deducted from your 70. Sometimes a reset is neccessary if you run hard. If you run 8-81/2 hours a day you should almost never run out of hours.

Thanks sir! You know of a web page I can read about the 0100-0500 new rule at? Or could you give me more details?
