1-2-3-4-9-10-11-12-13-14-15. Mine has a U shaped pattern. Still trying to get used to it. It's only been 4 years or so.

If you need a 15 for the job, get one. If not a 18/13 will get better fuel milage. Not through gear rations, just less power loss than a 15.

What on earth are you pulling there, looks like like one of those space capsule things that lands in the ocean.

You are correct,it's an Orion NASA space capsule that I moved in and out of the basement of the Wash.DC Convention Center last year for a show.

The "deep reduction" in a 15 speed is a misconception, it was what it was called back then. The 13A has the same or lower low than the 15 speed. The 18B has a lower low than both of them, thats the same as an 8LL. The 9MLL has a true DEEP reduction low hole (like 26-1). With the higher overdrive in the 13 and 18 you can have a lower rear end gearing, to stay at your target RPM at your cruise speed. So, that makes the low gear final ratio even lower with a 13, or 18. You really need to get into all the ratios of trans rears, tire revs, to see if its where you want the RPMs.
