$1500 wk on 1099, good pay? I need money bad.

your job ..... 57 cars and they will fire you ... not allowed to take more than 3 truck mirrors off a week backing either ... and never admit to being a Russian .... you say you are from Ukraine or Poland ..

 

Well that's not the case here. I'm home every weekend, drive a 2018 truck that the owner fully stocked. Regular electronic log 14he days, & cool easy going dispatch. Perfect except for the risk factor.

 

I need to get that number off me.

 

might be ok you just have to pay 15% social security and you have to get your own workers comp and Illinois is probably high % ... but you can take a lot more deductions right off the top that you can't get being a company driver. but they can not have a forced dispatch or the government calls that an employee. .. it's probably a wash money wise or if you keep track and they new tax laws you get the per diem deduction so probably better off with 1099

 

sounds like they are working with a sharp lawyer it's not right but as long as you pay the social security and taxes they won't check or bother you. ... just check on the worker's comp I doubt they have it on you

 

I haven't been a company driver since the 80s so I probably would be shocked at how much the irs takes from the company guys .... well have guys work for me and make a lot less than I do and pay twice the taxes that I do

 

No company pays out workmans comp w/ out a BIG fight! Then it takes 3+years before you see anything.
