I run these and most other car haulers run this size. I run heavy on the steer when loaded with a 14,600 front axle. I don’t know if there would be any advantages for you to run them but they ride just fine and handle weather great. I don’t run them more than 100,000 miles because I pull them off early to use on my trailer. I use a 3.25 offset flat faced wheel that gives them a wider stance and they wear perfectly even. 988BE518-DDC2-4AD8-82F6-22AE70B844E5.jpeg

I use these and keep an eye on my tires all the time. I bought them to keep an eye on my drive tires but they will monitor all 18. 8836C006-2B1B-4D9F-839C-274A015B2C4A.png

I’ve only ever run 16 ply Michelin, the first set I put in the truck I got 150k out of them when I put new ones on and I moved the old ones to one of the farm trucks which are still on the front of it to this day.

16s here as well. They just dont seem to get damaged as easily doing dump work as the 14s. Ancidotal i know but i went through 3 sets of 14s in a year and have yet to blow a 16. Cost diffrence is basically zero as well so eh.

16 ply recommends 120psi. With 16 ply they are rated at 13,200. Some states like Maryland where I live go by the tire rating not the standard 12k

So are you saying that some states will require 120 psi?

Hey now, it can usually get you within a 50 psi range

I do not condone this practice but i do go around and kick tires during my day to make sure none have picked up a bolt and gone flat

If you have a 13.2 front you need 16 ply to keep that rating, the only difference between 12, 13.2, and 14,6 fronts are tires

you can get within 15 psi with a hammer if you have half a brain,
