Yeah it let's you know it has air in it but that's it unless severely undeinflated. Only way to be sure is to stick em.

Ehh as a general rule i thump at night looking for low ones before bed and stick in the mornings. My logic is if i got a flat before i park ill bloody well know about it. So im just ensureing nothing is obviously wrong and if im going to be low on air due to a leak its going to be obvious after sitting for 10+ hours.

That said when your at least 20-40 psi low you start to hear a diffrent sound and if im not sure ill stick and inflate even at night when i usually dont bother. Then i hit the tread with some chalk to check again in the AM if it was low. If its low again then well i have a leak if not, then it like was just low and gets a yellow mark on the sidewall to check at the end of day for a slow leak and a note in my daily air pressure book.

That is completely wrong. The axle beams are different, as are the hubs. You also have to watch the wheels, as some are not rated for the higher loads, nor for the 130psi required by some load range J sizes.

Hubs and berings were the same last we checked part numbers, could be a difference in years, or the guy looking at the computer….honestly haven’t had a newer 13.2 apart to see if maybe they went metric/sae or what 17C0D43B-1D27-44D3-B7E7-DFE08541EAFC.jpeg

didn’t even need a hammer for this trailer tire, have a whole 1400 miles on them

16 ply tires have a minimum air pressure of 120 psi. Whether DOT will give you violation for being under 120, I can't answer that. You will have to read the regs on tire pressure.

What does a 13.2 front mean? I am a company driver. I don't know that much about the mechanical parts of semi-trucks.
