Are there new regulations regarding a driver's body mass index (BMI), body fat ratio, weight, neck size, and sleep apnea? AnswerMy own personal opinion I think the regulations will be set at some time in the future & if I were some overweight drivers I think I would start thinking about losing weight now before the regs go into effect..
- Despite rumors to the contrary, no. While research was recently released stating that a driver's body mass index (BMI) is a risk factor for identifying sleep apnea, neither the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration nor the CSA program currently has any rules that restrict who can be a commercial motor vehicle driver based on BMI or weight, or neck size.

Yeah i'd have to drop down to between 136 to 183 lbs to be in the normal range. Hell i'd be a bag of bones at 180lbs plus i'd need to loose every spec of fat thats on me to get there, and if i did get down to 180lbs, i'd still have a 17" neck.
Hell i.ve seen some drivers out, with one but cheek thats bigger round than my hole body. Dont know how they pass a phisicle but they do. Shi#t i seen a chick driving truck the other day, pumping fuel at the Bentleyville Pilot, with boobs that looked 180lbs on top of her rolly polly frame, i guess she does'nt have any idea about BMI either. -
Maybe they should put stricter regs on all the truckstops for killing all the mom and pop restuarants with all the fast food garbage that we have to deal with to eat out on the road.
