18 speed Eaton transmission lost reverse

Thanks fellas. I have been trying to figure this thing out while still waiting on the service ranger to diagnose it. Today I installed the new clutch brake and off course that wasn’t the problem. I took off the reverse light switch with the wires still on it, turn on the key, and when I press the ball on the switch the light goes on and off so it not the switch. I took off the position sensors on the x-y shifter, cleaned them up and because the are both the same I switch their positions but nothing changed. Hopefully I get the software and tomorrow I see if I can figure it out. Like always thanks for all the input!

 

update on my no reverse problem. The problem was my reverse light switch Pin was stuck in the shift bar housing so when i shift to reverse the rail is is not able to push it up to engage the switch, the shift rail stops against the pin and is not able to go all the way to engage the reverse gear. I couldn't remove the pin out from the hole on top the transmission so I removed the X-Y shifter (four bolts) and removed the shift bar housing (16 bolts) then i used a punch to removed the stucked pin from the housing, cleaned the hole really well (it had a lot of old grease looking or frozen oil in the hole). installed the shift bar housing and the X-Y shifter (don't forget new gaskets). installed the new eaton updated pin and gasket, new reverse light switch and I'm back in business. If your eaton ultrshift gen 3 is not going into reverse and your reverse light is stuck on, you may want to check that pin first.
