I wouldn't go OTR. You need to be home for the kids. When they need you. Example. Something happens and they're in the hospital. Or a baseball game.

Not talking to the wife is bad advice. They have kids. They HAVE to talk for the rest of their lives. Just be cool about the conversations. Not angry.

I wouldn't be trying to keep her to stay. She cheated on you. Nothing more needs saying.
If the shoes were reversed and you cheated on her. She would have been long gone.

Do everything for the kids.
Interface with the ex just about the kids.
The best advice I got was from a woman I wanted to date after my divorce. She said to wait at least a year and she was right.

Roll off, front and side load trash work is a great way to stay local. If you want to drive 18, do the transfer route. You will not have any slack time!

 

You want yo take at least a year before entering into any long term relationship.

I my lovely wife and I both work in the solid waste industry. With your class a cdl you can run roll off with trailer. Now that said my employer and most of our industry is shifting from day pay/incentive pay to hourly. Again that said all jobs are paid by category. The roll off/pup trailer is typically gonna pay the most (generates most revenue). Only downfall is the winter months can be lean depending on location. The other best option is commercial frontload. This is a set route/set amount of hours weekly no matter what.
There is currently a commercial frontload job opening at my employer in Little Rock, Arkansas with Republic Services. Not sure how close to your location that is but hope its helpful to you. I am in no way shape or form a recruiter. Just trying to help out.

Women can be BRUTAL. Sorry to hear about your situation. I'd say F it and go OTR if she's already skipped town and taken the kids. What else ya got to lose? Then get home every other weekend or whenever to spend time with the kids.

I got my fingers crossed that you dont get raped for child support or alimony.

 

I think you all get raped for child support these days. Having a low paying job might be the only good thing for him.

ON another note. The fact she cheated might hold in his favor for something.

 

Ditch that girl and head out on the road ...shes already been trouble and now she's sombody else's headache .
Additionally do not allow her back into to your life as she will most likely screw it up again or jerk you back and forth until something better comes along , which was a game I fell into with one of my ex's until I finally realized it was a power trip for her and told her " you don't have the only ###### in town goodbye ! "
That was almost 20 years ago and I just finished up with the child support ... Worth every penny ! To be rid of a controlling witch that plays little games .

 

I’d quit talking to her about anything except what your children need and go OTR. I personally found who I was when I went OTR. Yes you want to see your kids but I don’t think she’ll make that easy anyways. Do what’s best for you and your children.

 

Ok look I'm not going to read this whole topic but dont worry about what she is doing anymore only call to see about the kids and be fair with them also go stright to a new attorney that does welfare and get that settled now if not she can smack you with a big bill and do what ever he says also you need to find a job that you will be happy with and if it's not trash find something else even regional where your home a lot but not all the time because your kids need you now more than ever

To the OP move on, do the best you can for your kids. Try not to turn the divorce into a pissing contest. Do not offer to give up ANY rights freely. Don’t listen to your lawyer if he says “This is how it is generally settled”. If you don’t like an offering you don’t have to accept it. Allow the judge to decide. Keep your cool throughout the entire process.

Good luck with having the kids on Christmas Day. I sincerely hope you get that.
