I know 3 guys with sleepers on older trucks, but they come within 10" of the gooseneck, just no 360s![]()

I got mine at 18, started pulling doubles at 19

I looked it up and in Texas you can get a intrastate cdl A in
In Albama it wasn't a option. -
I stopped and talked to one of those guys that had a sleeper on a new truck. He had more in the sleeper than I paid fro one of my trucks, over 10K.
If you do a search you will find that most have cut the back of the cab and then you can't hardly sell the truck. There were several of these on ebay from time to time and they never sell. I'm glad I fit just right on my truck seat and sleep real good. -
But yet, 100's of guys are out there doing it everyday.
-
To answer you guys im looking at 36'' Kenworth flat top sleepers, I think I dont have to cut the back out I can just do it through the window I think some guys on the other forum did that with their trucks.
-
I'd read the book and make sure all requirements are met.
Thats what happened to the canadian made sleeper it didn't have quite enough clearance with the mattress in place and the window pods were to small. I have just logged off duty for ten hours and never had a problem. -
If I had to cut I would be ok with that, I know the 36 kenworth sleepers are legal I might have to put another door on it but im ok with that too

The trailers my boss had were both PJ's, one 40 ft electric brakes with ramps and one hydraulic brakes and a hydraulic beaver tail. My boss often said if he bought another trailer it would not be a PJ he had alot of trouble with the hydraulic one especially.
I like your drive to succeed but are you not worried that your little 3500 will get tore up hauling heavy freight? Most guy's I see are running 5500's. -
Its a dodge....it came off the assembly line all tore up, theres not much he can do to it to make it worse.
