Good morning, I am putting this old girl together for a multipurpose truck/ Dump truck some days and Tractor on others. My problem is the brake lights are stuck on. I read the other thread about another fella with the same trouble. My question is which one of the pictured switches in the brake switch. I've run a wire trace from tail light to cab and can't find it. I'm attaching pics. Any help would be appreciated as it's driving me crazy. FYI Johnson bar is all the way up. There is a panel beneath drivers window under hood with what looks to be 4 more switches but won't let me attach pic. Thanks Mike

If its been sitting for awhile you may want to check that brake peddle function.
Floor mats are another that will keep it from full release
The pin the peddle pivots on is known to rust..
    Cruise work ?

That’s the first thing I went after was the pedal. Cleaned and hit it with penetrating oil. Truck does not have cruise. I went and picked up Two pressure switches. I’m headed home to try that next.
    Thank you

so with the key on whichever switch is hot on both sides is your brake switch that's stuck if it is that, and that's probably what it is. that year model should be upper firewall behind the panel under the hood.

The older Petes sometimes had 3 switches. One was tractor brake lights. One was a tractor fail safe and trailer brake lights. The 3rd was to activate the brake lights when park brake was set and key was on or engine running. Used to see old Petes parked all the time with brake lights “stuck on”. So many of those switches were disconnected over the years because all it did was melted the light lenses and burned out the bulbs faster.
