Finally got off my butt off the couch and bought my first truck. Mainly knowing if i didn't do it soon probably wouldn't do it. This is a 1980 k100 cabover. 25k on an overhaul with paperwork. One rear end has been replaced. Has 8 bag air suspension. Aluminium frame. Has a 228" factory wheelbase. Couple small welds where old spring suspension was. Inside isn't horrible needs to be cleaned. Hasn't been Dot certificated since 2009. Has a Cummins 400. Has one rear end replaced. Old yellow and dark green paint job under current paint was used for an belly dump for two years
Here's some questions.
Where do I do find info on part numbers for new air bags? Couple look dry rotted.
Need info on where i can get a body panel? Front passenger side is cracked due to deer hit before.
There's probably going be bunch more questions I'm going to be asking.

A good parts man at the kenworth dealer should be able to help you with your air bags and should be able to help you with your body panels. I don't know about your local kenworth dealer but you probably want to talk to the old parts guy that has been there from the beginning, that is the guy that will help you not the kid at the counter that can't find what you need because his computer said it doesn't exist

I would like to know how the parts situation works out. I got my hooks in a 79 model. I was concerned with the parts issue

That's why I say the air bags should be easy to come across I don't know if there has been many options for air bags as far as kenworth 8 bag goes but I may be wrong. That front headlight panel might take a little deeper digging to come across
Adisiwaya and slickWillie1980 Thank this. -
Interior isn't horrible. Needs cleaning and some minor things. Cab has some ruse by the sleeper air breathers. Otherwise she is very solid. I'd be the 4th owner
