Also, did you check the dog house for cracks in that area since the panel is apart ? The K100'a are known for crack in the doghouse. My K100 had cracks by the right side right about where you took your panel off and by the shifter tower. I had everything fix/refiberglass where all the cracks where plus reinforced. Just something to think about.

I need to. Not sure how though. Could you explain it? Drivers side is newer but passenger side is about shot. I haven't looked at cracks in the dog house yet. Will have to look better when cab is up. I have other panel drilled out already that's coming with next time I'm up there. Going to narrow down the list on what needs to be done Vs want so hopefully have this truck going this year. Haven't decided on sanding and painting Vs the air plane stripper and paint...

Been a while since I posted. I did sand down the truck and frame. Painted 1/2 of the truck so far. I put new cylinders in. Did some rewiring. Did a full service so far. I'm waiting for all new hoses next paycheck. I'm getting there. One step at a time.

A big A for effort big fella!!

Just one thing thou, take the grab handles off the cab before painting or at least mask them off. Take a SOS pad to them and make them shine again.
No one paints the handles, they will start chipping off and look terrible after a while.

I sanded about 1/3 of my A model cab. Not fun work at all. At this point I think I'm just gonna haul the cab to town and get it media blasted lol.
